Do you find women only car insurance sexist? Personally I do. For a start their buisiness is based around the idea that women are safer drivers even though what gender you are does not affect your driving, also all of the TV adverts for this insurance have sexist comments in them. If it had been the other way round and these car insurances were exclusive to men there would have been protests and accusations of sexism but because typically women are the victims of sexism it has gone unnoticed.
cheapest women car insurance on a provisional? im 23. got my own car, white, k reg, clio, automatic (1993) im only on a provisional license an ive found so far that my quotes r not very good. my highest as been £2027.57 an my lowest is £678.98 will i get anything lower. i know its cos of my age an cos im the main driver but if any women or men know any insurance companys that ave good lower prices then help me out thanks u never know wot ur get in return lol
Why do men pay more for car insurance than women? This fact is surely sexism based on pure stereotypes rather than relevant information such as the driver's history. Doesn't this just portray the stereotype that men are more irresponsible or 'risk takers' when it comes to driving? Why not base car insurance on ethnicity? thanks for the answers everyone. But the question is more relevant to stereotypes based on statistics: is this fair? Why is men pay more for car insurance than women.? I mean inst that discrimination. Shoudnt every1 start w/ the same amt of trust then if do sumthing bad u get nailed with higher rates. But 2 start all men off w/ a higher rate is bad. Even if it is true that men in general get into more accidents than women, that deosnt mean all men r worse drivers than women. And thats sumthing else i dont get, i thoguht the sterotype was that women r not good drivers. Why is car insurance cheaper for women? Ok. I'm about to open a can of worms here, so ladies (as well as whipped men), feel free to complain and moan at me all you want! heh heh. Guys, haven't you noticed that the majority of wrecks you see are caused by or involved with women? I can never understand how they can get lower insurance rates but be the cause of the majority of wrecks, especially the teenage girls. Because us guys report claims more than women, so the numbers seem less. Here's my opinon: The reality is that if insurance was higher then men's, or even as much as men's, women would scream about discrimination like they do everything else. Diamond car insurance for women?!? What is with that advert "Diamond Car Insurance for Women"? Women are meant to be the safest drivers. According to statistics, the only reason people think women are safer drivers is because they make a claim on their boyfriends/husbands car insurance when they have an accident. I am most certainly not a sexist male and I am all for equality but I just think it's unfair to have a car insurance just for women and try to make out like men are terrible drivers. I mean imagine the uproar if there were a car insurance company JUST for men (before the diamond insurance was available) ? What are your views on this people?
Why does it cost more for a man to get automobile insurance than it does a woman to get car insurance? I know back in the 80s it was because men were in more car accidents, but nowadays, it's about the same, yet men pay more for their insurance than women do? At least that's the way it works in Canada.

Why do women get lower Auto insurance rates? Why do women get lower car insurance rates I'm a 23y/o male and pay the same rate as a 20 y/o female and I have a clean record. I found that it is roughly 15-20% for the opposite sex, and even women with violations can still manage to have a lower rate than men who have clean records. Is there any real reason behind this or just another way Auto insurance companies like to take our money.
Why do car insurance systematically break the sex discrimination act? IF this was a case of pay or working conditions or job description, the womans lib and campaigners for EQUAL rights would be hopping mad, they would be marching down the street but NO, when it comes to being FAIR, they are not in the case of car insurance. As for AGE related, I dont see why that should be relavent, what I do find relaventt is the "TIME" that has been spent driving, so if your Licence was gained at 17 Years old, and your 34, you have 17 years worth of experience on the road, where as a 17Year old who has just passed their test has had Zero years experience on the road. I See that as more relavent, not age related because if you are a Cyclist then a Motorbike user and then progress to car, you gain allot of experience and can have a couple of years driving experience in hand before using a car.

Car insurance? Ok, "cheap me" has been trying to find a second hand car (Opel corsa). Found one I might like at about 29k with a mileage of 167k on Carfind. Tried to get an eQuote from "First for women" - (I'm still waiting). Anyone could suggest any other reasonable insurance companies I could try? Or do any of you know how much I would be paying for insurance, just an estimate. Would also love some help with any other cars (preferably Opel corsa) at reasonable rates. I was in a car accident where the other party was at fault, but has no insurance, so how can I make her pay? I don't have any insurance either. The woman disobeyed a give way sign and now my car is a write-off. She said she would pay for damage and towing costs, but now she won't answer her phone. I've had to pay the towing fee ($215) and have no way to get another car. What can I do, legally speaking? I'm in Australia. The Police were at the scene and several ambulances were called out.
