Has anyone ever used the car insurance company Survival Insurance based in CA? Is it reliable?
I would love to hear any good or bad reviews of this company before I decide to buy a policy or not.

- Survival Insurance is a brokerage, not an insurance company. Find out what the AM Best rating is for the company where they are quoting you. Accept nothing less than an A- or you will regret it. Also, make sure they are not trying to cut your expenses by cutting into your coverages. If you own a home and a car, make sure you are insured for at least 100/300/50, or you will regret it. If you buy cheap, they may skimp on customer service or claims service if you really need it. Many people think that "full coverage" is having liability, comp and collision. That is true, however, you could have "thimble" full of full coverage (ie state minimum) or a bucket full (ie: 100/300/50) or a tank full (1 million Combined single limit). You have to look at the WHOLE picture, not just the bottom line.

- I agree, go to an insurance company. You get what you pay for, an when the chips are down, the brokers give you the longer hassle run around. Check with Mercury, excellent service.....I had a fender bender a while back and they were top drawer...compare quotes with what you ask for....
