- Honestly, it might be quicker and easier to go to carinsurance.com. They'll be able to help you find the lowest quote. Just try to spend about an hour doing quotes online. Otherwise, call your existing insurance company and talk to your agent. There are too many factors that have to be considered with driving history and your son's grades and a bunch of other things that could effect the accuracy of an estimated monthly payment. Wouldn't want to lead you on.
- Depends on his driving record, where you live and your coverage limits. The amount could vary greatly. Call around.
- u can go on insurance websites, or ur current auto insurance website and fill out a brief thing that will determine the approx range of what the auto insurance might be. Or you can call the insurance company and ask them. That's what I did. I have geico, my boyfriend added me on his, geico is very good. Good luck
- Rates will always vary...but the teens that I know are paying between $88 (female driver, A student) and $189 (male driver, age 19)
- It depends on your rating, the state you live in, your sons rating, the car, etc. There are too many factors to give you an answer. You must call your insurance agent for a quote. Or find one in the phone book if you don't have one yet. They can give you a quote.
- it would cost around $150 for your son alone, I hope it's a 4-door.
- Although adding your son is going to be a big jump in your insurance premium, there are things you can do to help keep it down some. If he gets good grades, you can ask for a good student discount. If he takes a defensive driver course, that will also be in his favor and reduce the rate somewhat. Remember, too, that you aren't locked in to one company. It is always a good idea to comparison shop. If your current carrier seems too high, check around; maybe even ask a broker to see what they can come up with for you. It is amazing sometimes the differences in price you can be quoted from different insurers. It is worth the effort.
