Will the other car insurance company still reimbursement although its been 6 months since I filed the accident

Back in August, a woman in a store parking lot that worked there backed into my car. She caused almost $2,000 worth of damage. I called her insurance company several times and they said they were doing a further investigation. She wasn't on the insurance holder's policy although there was insurance on the car. I lost most of my information on the accident. -Can I still be reimbursed for the damages or is it too late? -What should I do next?

  1. you need to file a small claims case in court ,as well as notify the dot of the state in which the accident happened. you probably should of done this sooner but I don't think it is too late. have you been regularly contacting them asking for payment? you need to call the dot in your state and find out what your local laws are.
  2. if you remember her company call them and see what is going on. yes, you are still entitled to compensation from the accident. one of the best things you can do is contact YOUR insurance agent and have them get involved. if you have full coverage on your car you CAN claim it on your policy so you can get your car fixed. if the other person IS at fault, your company will subrogate back to her company for reimbursement. it happens all the time.
