Sex change versus Car Insurance?

if man changes to a woman would this affect "his/her" car insurance, would his insurance be cheaper or dearer?

1. I think it will depend on the age, if the person is under 25 the premium will probably be higher.

6. Only if he became she and was 15 to 25 years old. After age 25 the gender doesn't matter any longer.
7. i would think that if 'he' was a full 'she' - then the insurance would be cheaper - since there is no option for transexual on insurance forms. however, in light of how much it would cost to get done (the sex change) it would take alot of years of savings on your car insurance to pay for itself. lol
8. IN the UK, provided she has a Gender Recognition Certificate, a transsexual woman's insurance premiums are calculated the same as any other woman's. It's generally cheaper, because women are regarded by insurance companies as a better risk. Without a GRC, her premiums are calculated as if she were a man. And BTW; a transsexual woman is not a 'man who changes to a woman', and using "his/her" to describe her is inaccurate and insulting. Please don't do it.

10. Apparently in Sweden if you go from female to male it does a real number on your car insurance rates! I assume the opposite would be true there as well :)
