Anyone knowing the best/cheapest car insurance for young drivers?

Hello. I'm a young driver (19) who is looking to buy a new 2007 ford mustang (the deep red color). I really want this car but it looks like there is no way that I will be able to afford the car insurance for this thing. Anyone know the best company for me to speak with? Any advice or tips will help. Thanks.

  1. yo always go for Alstate, Geiko and all those big named brand ones you see on tv. others that dont show up and are cheap might not be the best ones. find the lowest of the best ones and trust me it will work out.
  2. Good luck with that, I had to pick a different car for insurance, but I went with Progressive, I switched now, but I just called different places with a quote for me with that car. Also, if you are on your parents insurance policy or with a boyfriend or something, it can be cheaper with a multi-car discount.
  3. try farmers Insurances
  4. I would say get State Farm and get a car you can afford. They are the best, and if you are going to get an expensive car, you DON'T want cheap insurance.... they won't pay if you need them too, and you'll be screwed. No, I'm not an agent, but I've delt with lots of insurance companies through jobs I've had, and State Farm is the best. I've had them for like 13 years (since I was 16) and my rates are lower now than they'd be anywhere else. And that includes me having accidents and tickets over the years.
  5. OMG...A Ford Mustang! ..you are insane new one which means you will have to have "full coverage" (comp /collision coverage...youll be paying a fortune! lol however Iwould call a local Broker and get a quote they can compare companies like "Progressive" and give you the lowest rate they can find.
  6. I like progressive, they had the cheapest insurance when i had to get off my parents. Ive had alot of tickets too. But really, insurance depends on alot of factors like where you live, how old you are, what your using the car for, you insurance history, and other things. So insurance will be different for everyone, its kinda hard to compare with just age because the other person might live in a "high risk" area. Just go to one of those searches that will show multiple companies all at once.
  7. U have to shop around and ask 4 quotes ! Just pick up phone book and start calling, Everybody ! When you find 1, make sure everything on your car will be covered, some also give ya insurance on u as a person !
  8. Katherine I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're um not nailed but...you get it. There are some things though. Are you paying for the car all up front, cause if so you can get liability only and that's pretty cheap, you could go onto your parents policy and that will lessen your bill each month. You need to go online to the NSC that's national safety council and take the defensive drivers course which will usually give you a ten percent discount. Also, not a favorable idea for you probably, but joining any branch of military makes you eligible for USAA insurance and they are great. Think something like coast guard reserves. Also hopefully you're in college and you're getting good grades cause the good insurance companies offer good student discounts. Don't just go for the cheapest place you can find cause they are the cheapest either. There's probably a reason for this, research everyone you can and talk to someone on the phone for real asking how you can get more discounts. Ask them how they handle claims, when your premium goes down, what happens if you get in an accident that's not your fault. I know I didn't answer your question directly but I hope I helped, good luck and be careful with that stang
  9. There are lots of factors to consider in getting cheap car insurance for your car such as your age, the car you are driving, state, etc. Well you can compare cheap car insurance quotes here: http://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/ Here's a nice article you can read at for young drivers: http://www.autoinsuranceselect.com/article-14/saving_money_on_teen_car_insurance/
  10. So I did a very rough quote on your car, and its coming back at around $4000, which is about $333 per month. I've bookmarked this site to go back to... http://www.knowledged.info/go.php?link=insurance All the best to you.
