Which insurance company offers the cheapest car insurance for new and young drivers?

  1. I am afraid until you can prove you can safely drive a car (i.e collect some no claims bonuses) You will have to pay a fortune to insure a car. It is the same for everyone who is a motorist. You could try elephant.co.uk Good luck
  2. Ive found that Bell.co.uk offers by far the cheapest car insurance around. Ive had a couple of accidents and written a car off and bell have been roughly been £250 cheaper than anyone else. Apparently they specalise in covering people without no claim bonuses. They also offer a 10 month payment cover which means you get a full years no claim bonus in only 10 months instead of the usual 12. Hope this helps.
  3. Give Admiral.co.uk a try, they saved me £800 over Norwich Union!
  4. Circumstances vary depending on things like your age, gender, where you live! Try a Pass+ course to prove you are a capable young driver - this will give you a certificate and many Insurance Companies will recognise this and reduce your premiums.
  5. I would recommend buying a older car with a low engine size i.e. 1.1/1.2 and insuring it TPFT. As well as a low engine size, make sure you give them a low annual mileage and if you can put an older person as a named driver e.g. mum/dad - this brings it down considerably in some cases. I am (again) in a similar situation, I am looking to change my car because I have had it for 2 years and have saved for a year to buy a new one. I am looking at the MG ZR 1.8 160 or the 2.0l RenaulSport 172 BUT the insurance on these are absolutely ridiculous and that is with 2 years no claims, low mileage, an older person on my insurance. Like someone mentioned above, it simply comes down to proving you are worthy and a safe driver. If I could turn the clock back to when I passed my test I would have taken as many driving courses as possible e.g. Pass Plus and Advanced Driving, I have too many bad habits now. Anyway, good luck.
  6. really depends on what car your looking at, if you have only one or two years no claims but want a sports car e.g mr2, zx, supra i found sabra to offer good prices, as long your 19 or over
  7. I have a list good websites offering cheap car insurance. They are all reputed insurance compnies. You can comapire rates between them cause its a big list. In this way you save money also. Send me a mail at solidoffer11@yahoo.com with subjet- cheap car insurance. I will send a link of best website where you can find good offers, tips and resources. Best wishes
  8. "cheap" rarely applies to young drivers and theres a lot of other factors as well such as what car youve got where you live etc, best thing would be to use this search tool http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motor/ that looks at loads of offers in no time and should help you find the best offers out there but bear in mind it still might not be "cheap" due to your age
  9. go onto confused.com and do a search. We found direct line was the cheapest for my daughter because she was named on my policy for one year, when she took out her own policy they gave her one year no claims discount.
