Car Insurance?
My daughter is going to be 17 soon and is looking to buy a small car, ie corsa. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get car insurance for young drivers. She would prefer to have the insurance in her own name to build up no claims discount.

- GEICO is easy to deal with
- Nationwide is the best insurance I've seen for younger people.
- try Insure One..but you might have to sign on the policy also most companies say you have to be 18 ..but you always can ask
- Get Geico Car Insurance! It it cheap and effective. Remember you can save 15% or more on Car Insurance by switching to Geico!
- I'm not sure in which state u live in but, some insurance companies give discounts to young drivers that have been to a certified driving school. That really helps.
- I don't think it is the cheapest, but they do have great discounts for all types of things the longer you are with them. State Farm has never done me wrong. They have always been reasonable priced. They have taken care of me when it wasn't my fault and when it was. The only time it increased slightly was when it was my fault. I have been with them since I was 16. That was 16 years ago. I have multiple car discount, renters insurance discount, plus a bunch more for continueing to be with them every year plus I use them for my motorcycles.
- well you might want to check your local independent insurance brokers, sometimes they get better rates and if your in AZ. check out Arizona Amigos Insurance they've insured from 16 and 17 with out an older person on the policy, thou with an older person it may be cheaper, and she could still count it as her insurance history regardless if an older person is on the policy.
- Try Country Companies. I am also a young driver and they have been awesome.
- try progressive they will give you their price and the price of others, and they give discounts to good students.
- Unfortunatelly, your daughter cannot have her own policy until she is 18 years old. At this time, the only option would be to add her and her vehicle to your policy. This should however benefit her because she will be eligible for a multi car discount and she would pay less for her vehicle if it is on your policy as opossed to her vehicle being on her own separate policy. Also, if she has a 3.0 GPA, she may be eligible for a good student discount. As long as she maintains a good driving record, she can always become eligible for a good driver discount after 3years. If once she turns 18, she still wants a separate policy, I suggest progressive or Mercury, they tend to be some of the more inexpensive insurance companies.
- Any discounts she may get will pale next to the premiums she will pay if she can get insurance policy on her own (which will be at 18). Much cheaper to add her to your policy until that time. As far as no claims discount, just make sure he has no losses!
- Insurance nine times out of ten will be cheaper putting her on your policy. But, you can still check with an insurance agent who works with a lot of different companies. You tell them her information once and they shop around for you.
- Try the quote link here: http://insurance.divinfo.com/Auto-Insurance.php They look at multiple companies for you I think.
