what is the nippiest car a 21 yr old in the uk could buy for a reasonable insurance price?

Please don't say no car for young drivers, i know insurance is a robbery us, just looking for decent maybe 1.8 ltr car or large diesel even

2. I had a Renault Megane Coupe 16v, P reg until last September. You can get a reasonably good one for around £1000 and I believe it's only about a group 12 insurance. It used to cost me £500 per year TPFT with 6 points on my licence and 1 years no claims at 21. It's got a 2 litre, 16v Williams Renault Engine, giving 150bhp and is honestly the best car I've driven for thrills and spills and can look pretty mean as well. It's certainly worth a look. I think the 0-60 is about 7.2 seconds or something and I had mine at 145mph several times (that's what the speedo said at least), but I believe the top speed is stated as 135mph. The main thing is, the acceleration kept up with my friend's Merc C200 Kompressor. Sweet!
3. I drive a 1.8 Focus Zetec. I'm 19 with 2 years No Claims Bonus and it costs me £920 Fully Comp. A Skoda Fabia VRS is pretty quick. Its a 1.9 TDI with 130 BHP, but can be tuned to 180BHP.
4. vauxhall calibra 2.0 8v buy one for 7-900 quid chip an exaust and filter good for 130 neddys at 19 mine was as quick as a gsi red top induction was lovely its a lighter engine and safe to if the cambelt were to snap youll be fine and the insurance was only 465 tpft or 750 fully comp plus the sunroof is quite cool
