How much did your car insurance go up when your teen began to drive?
How much did it rise? Did they get their own car or did they drive yours? Did they have a good student discount? Did they take drivers ed (and get a discount)? Are they a boy or a girl? Anything Else? Thanks... Just trying to figure out how much ours is going to go up

- im a teen and my parents told me it rose about 15 percent
- $500 extra to add my younger brother to my car. In Australia there is no discounts for drivers ed or students, and anyone under 25yo is considered a teenager (only for driving insurance purposes). It didn't last long and he got his own cheap little car, with 3rd party only. So ends up about the same money, but I don't have to share my car now.
