Car was stolen and damage by an 13 year old. ?

A 13 teen year old girl stolen my car. It is a 2007 nissan sentra. She got caught and went to juvenile. I have no insurance, money problems. What can i do. We go to court next week.

1. get her to pay you for the repairs. She damaged it, she broke the law. She's a bloody idiot and likely to be a gangster or a junkie in the next 2 years anyway. You didnt do anything wrong so why should you pay for it? She did the crime, now she needs to pay her dues. Teach her a lesson.

3. You can't get blood from a turnip. The answers that say you should sue the 13 year old are moronic. And you cannot collect from the parents unless you are able to prove negligent supervision, which is a disfavored tort and very hard to prove. You should carry insurance. Stuff happens. Suck it up.

5. You cannot sue a 13 year old and you have to prove her parents were negligent. Actually you are negligent for not having insurance on your vehicle. The car is a 2007 therefore I assume you are making payments on it which requires you carry full coverage on the vehicle. Your title holder will sue you for the damages.
