in the state of PA if you buy a new car do you have 30 days to change the cars on the insurance policy?

i just got a new car like 2 weeks ago and just got the car on my policy changed today. friday night a car pulled out of a country fair parking lot and hit the side of my car. they were 100% at fault so their insurance company still has to pay for it either way right?

  1. Yes, as long as you have an active policy at the time of purchase, you have a 30 day period in which to add the new vehicle to the policy. If they are indeed at fault, the other insurance company will have to cover your loss.
