any car insurance which insurances foreign cars?

Hi! I live in Italy and I am italian. I heard that there are some english insurance which insurance cars and people in foreign country. Is it real? do you know anything about that? Could you give me some advice about that? I am waiting your answers! Bye!

1. Am afraid not. Most UK Insurers will insure UK cars being used abroad for upto six months, but none will insure foreign nationals driving foreign cars. I'm not to certain, but some UK insurers could have agencies in Italy, selling insurance, but the scales will be entriely different.
2. That is impossible to do, sorry. The car must have UK plates and be registered in the UK before an insurer will consider it. I fail to see the reason why you'd want to do that since insurance in Italy can cost a third of what it costs in the UK, I should know as I live in the UK and I have many italian friends (I am Italian). Also, tax disc in the UK is more expensive than the tax disc in Italy.
