getting car insurance for a new car but i have a point on my license?

does anyone know how much it cost or what is the difference to pay when getting car insurance if i have a point on my license. i just bought a used car and i want to get car insurance for it under my name. however, i have a one point on my license. anyone know how much of a difference in cost a point would cost? or anything else i should know?

1. not enough info to go on. Are you going for full coverage? If you are not yet 25 your insurance is already going to be off the scale and that point will not mater much.
2. One point generally won't make a whole lot of difference. Just contact an independent agent, tell him what you need and let him search his data base for the one which will best meet your needs at the best price.

5. It depends on insurance company and also on many other factors like how old is your point. In some states it goes away in 2 years while other states take 3 years. How old are you? What kind of coverage you have takes? Have you gone for any driving training?
