how much will be my car insurance for new or used car?

I am planing to buy a car.I am thinking to get a new one but i am afraid of high price for its insurance.I am a new driver, till 25 years old,no driving experience,NJ.I need a professional advice, please. Maybe to buy a used one is a good idea but the new car is less headache.:)

  1. I would suggest you make a hypothetical list of any vehicles that you are contemplating purchasing and then visit some insurance company web sites. That will give you a ballpark figure of how much it will cost to insure any vehicle. Good luck!
  2. Your car insurance will be directly proportional to your age, driving record, value of the car that you buy to potentially replace and your sex (younger men get nailed). It's better therefore to buy a used car, but my advice is to buy an extended powertrain warranty when you do (i.e., one that covers the transmission in particular). Even if you buy from a private party, this "insurance" is readily available so long as you buy it within a few days of when you buy the car. Hope this helps ... and good luck! I've been burned so many times all I can tell ya' is don't buy GM and don't buy a Ford.
  3. Try filling a form here http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html it's one form to get a number of quotes from different insurers. It's free and a big time saver, these are all the main American insurers competing to get your business so you are bound to find something that suits you, if it works out remember my points please :)
